The theme of the First Latin American Conference for Research in Education was "The Field of Educational Research in Latin America: Traditions, Contexts and Future Scenarios" (El Campo de la Investigación Educativa en América Latina: Tradiciones, Contextos y Escenarios Futuros). The website provides information on the thematic areas and on the titles of the presentations, unfortunately without abstracts. A second conference was held in 2014 in Puerto Rico.
