Our aim in this chapter is to examine horizontal gender differences and vertical gender inequalities at labor market entry in West Germany. We are particularly interested in how gender differences and gender inequalities at labor market entry have developed over the course of the educational expansion that has so strongly improved females' educational chances in recent decades.
